FAQ
If I want to get started selling wine on tap, how long does it take?
It typically takes a client about 60 days from when they first reach out to Free Flow until they have their first wine in the market in kegs. This varies with the TTB response times and availability of wines.
I don’t know anything about draft systems or plumbing, what do I do?
Don’t worry, we are here to help. Our partners are there to assist you and your clients throughout the whole draft installation and maintenance process.
Do I need to make my wines differently for wine on tap versus in the bottle?
Yes. Wine on tap is designed to be consumed within 90 days of being packaged, therefore you may want to adjust sulfur levels differently. In addition, many clients blend their red wines differently in keg, focusing more on fruit and less on structural tannins. For more information contact us.
Is there a big enough market for me to sell wine on tap?
With more than 4,500 accounts nationwide, and growing by leaps and bounds, wine on tap is the hottest new trend in the wine industry.
What does it cost to package wine on tap?
Typically wine on tap is cheaper than packaging in bottles. Our program allows you to choose what you use with fees that can run as low as $9 per keg round trip. For more information about our pricing, please contact us.
How is wine on tap dispensed?
Wine on tap flows through special 304 grade stainless draft systems, designed specifically for wine. To preserve and protect the wines, they are pushed out of the keg using a blended gas (75% Nitrogen and 25% CO2). This blend preserves wine quality and freshness, so that the keg is good from the first glass to the last.
