RESTAURANT RELIEF

4 NONPROFITS TO HELP HOSPITALITY WORKERS

We wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for our hospitality partners, and our hearts go out to those who’ve been impacted by the sudden closure of restaurants and bars due to COVID-19. Fortunately, the community has come together in a fantastic way! There are numerous organizations that are doing great things to help support those employees impacted by this tragic situation. We’ve compiled a list of a few of those organizations here. Help show your support by either sharing their cause or donating.

Furlough Kitchen

Described as a “Pop Up” nonprofit, Furlough Kitchen was created to support employees who are affected by the COVID 19 pandemic. They serve about 1000 high quality meals per day for curbside pick up in Dallas TX. Each day they offer a new meal with vegetarian options.

Restaurant Workers’ Community Foundation

Restaurant Workers’ Foundation strives to improve restaurant employees quality of life. Since COVID-19, they have approved funds for the following:

United States Bartender Guild was founded in 1948. Their mission is to “unite the hospitality community to advance professional bartending.” Since the onset of COVID-19 they have created an Emergency Assistance Program where you can make a donation specifically for COVID-19 relief.
