As Free Flow Wine’s Accounting Manager, you will partner with our Director of Finance who oversees the entire Finance team to manage the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and month end close process. Together, you will ensure timely and accurate bookkeeping and monthly close activities. As Accounting Manager, you will have the support of our Accounting Assistant on the team, but you will be accountable for the accuracy and timeliness of all AP and AR account reconciliations. Your detailed, timely and accurate work will allow for timely month end closes and the completion of monthly financial statements by the Director of Finance.

This position is located in our Napa office and has one direct report

Month and Year-end Close Activities:

  • AR & AP Account reconciliations
  • Month-end journal entries
  • Revenue and Expense Accruals
  • Year end Audit support
  • Inventory costing
  • AR collection analysis
  • Cross-departmental communication and collaboration to ensure timely close\

Additional Accounting Responsibilities:

  • Daily review of all AR lockbox deposits
  • Liaison with production team for time closing of daily work orders
  • Oversee distributor account reconciliations and collections
  • Oversee/Manage all AR collections with Accounting Assistant
  • Review/audit all A/P invoices recorded by Accounting Assistant
  • Assist with lender audits
  • Ad hoc Finance team projects as needed


  • BA / BS Degree in Accounting
  • 5+ years’ experience in Accrual Accounting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel
  • Comfortable with NetSuite (or similar ERP software), Adobe PDF, Dropbox (or similar cloud-based filing system) and Google Docs
  • Superb attention to detail
  • Previous wine industry experience a plus

  • Working Hours are 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday (remote options)
